I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
