Intensive Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were injured while residents in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and encountered interruptions to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was killed in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "real steps" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not window dressing but firm measures - from the America, Europe and the G7 - in providing defensive weapons and implementing penalties," mentioned in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen projectiles struck energy facilities, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were working to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes struck electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the assaults on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by local officials.

Regional authorities said the urban area experienced heavy assaults overnight. A young boy was killed and three other people were hurt.

The strikes succeed nights of aerial attacks in the area, sections of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The whole nation is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to spot.

Authorities told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already affecting energy systems.

He said technical personnel and government agencies were preparing for further attacks.
